General FAQs

Q: What is Khafre?
A: Khafre is a one-stop document management/generation system that creates a new standard for data gathering and sharing of critical customer financial data. The Khafre system creates a seamless communication conduit between service providers and end-users. Utilizing a universal and reusable data entry model allows different agents and providers on the system to share and repurpose client information, reduce user error and increase oversight and overall data quality. Q: Where did you come up with the name Khafre?
A:
Khafre was an Egyptian pharaoh of the fourth dynasty. He was the son and successor of Khufu. Khufu built the Great Pyramid at Giza. Khafre built the second largest pyramid at Giza and is thought to have built the Great Sphinx. Our first software venture was called Khufu. Khafre is the son of Khufu.

Q: What is the difference between Khafre Back Office and Khafre Express?
A: Khafre Back Office contains all the file management and file processing screens, reports, branch management, and user management tools designed for processors, account executives and management.

Khafre Express is a slim version of Khafre Back Office. Khafre Express is designed for one page data entry and is geared towards originators. Using Khafre Express originators create and manage client files, upload exhibits, send and receive notes.

Of course, originators can use Back Office too. If they do, they have all the pipeline management features of Express and more. Khafre Back Office incorporates alerts, reminders, email and many other features not available in Khafre Express.

Q: What is the difference between Khafre Express and Khafre Konnect?
A:
Khafre Express and Khafre Konnect are identical in features and functionality in terms of file and client management. The key difference between Khafre Konnect and Khafre Express is that Khafre Konnect is free and is supported by advertising from Khafre Certified Partners. Khafre Konnect Users are independent agents and brokers who use Khafre Konnect to peer to multiple service providers and who send files to those service providers for processing. Khafre Express users are agents who work for a specific service provider and who manage their pipeline specific to that service provider’s products and services.

Q: What is the difference between MyKhafre and Khafre Express/Konnect?
A:
My Khafre is the interface used by clients/homeowners. Khafre Express/Konnect is used by affiliates / agents who work for service providers using Khafre to process their files.

Q: What is the difference between Global Alerts and File Alerts?
A:
Global Alerts are all the Alerts for all your files. You get to these from your Welcome Screen. File Alerts are the Alerts you see when you open a specific file.

Q: What is the difference between an alert and a timeline?
A:
An alert is a single announcement or reminder. An alert can be a one-of-a-kind reminder created by the user in Khafre Back Office or it can be triggered as part of a timeline.  A timeline is a series of alerts and reminders that are scheduled to trigger at specified intervals as defined by the Branch Administrator


Q: If I do not have an account setup, who do I call?
A: Depending on your company structure, you may need to contact your Branch Administrator first, as they have the ability to create an account for you. If you need further assistance, email [email protected] and provide the name of your company and your contact information.

Q: What are user fees and how am I billed?
A:
User fees are your monthly access fees. If you use Khafre Konnect exclusively you do not have to pay any user fees. If you use Khafre Express exclusively your user fees may be covered by the service provider who created your account or you may pay for your Khafre Express User Fees directly to Khafre’s billing department by credit card on file. Khafre Back Office monthly user fees are paid for by the Khafre client via credit card on file.  There are no user fees for MyKhafre file access. Q: If I enter information in a file in Khafre Express, does this update my client's file in MyKhafre?
A:
Yes. If you are the original owner of the file, you will update the version of the file your client sees.

Basic Troubleshooting FAQs

Q: Why do I get logged out if I am not working in Khafre?
A:
Your session length is defined by your Khafre administrator. The session lengths are from 30 minutes to 3 hours by default. Ask your administrator what your default session length is.

Q: I lost information I entered into my file, what am I doing wrong?
A: When working in You must click on "OK" on each window you open to save the data you've entered. Because the program is running in a web browser, you must force the application to accept your entry, you do this by clicking on "OK" . If you're using Express, you must click on "Update Information" to save your data.

Q: I want to create an Alias, but I keep getting an error message.
A:
There are two common reasons why this happens.

  1. If you have never changed your password you may need to change your password when you create an alias.
  2. If you are trying to use an alias already in use by another Khafre user.

Branding FAQs

Q: How do I get my logo to display in Khafre Express and MyKhafre?
A:
This feature is called branding. If you signed up for a Gold Account MyKhafre branding is included and if you signed up for a Platinum Account Khafre Express and MyKhafre branding is included. Otherwise you may purchase branding using points. ( Learn More )

Once you have branding included with your account send your company logo to [email protected] with instructions to add it to your MyKhafre / Khafre Express pages.

Q: What size should my branding logo be?
A
: The recommended size for your logo is 60h x 90w. Your logo cannot be larger than 70 pixels high. Please be sure to submit a file that meets the size restrictions. We can resize an image for you if needed but then we you to approve the image before we publish it.

Q: What file format should my branding logo be?
A
: The best logos are typically PNG or GIF with a transparent background. However you may also submit a JPG if you prefer. Please be sure to submit a file that meets the size restrictions. We can resize an image for you if needed but then we you to approve the image before we publish it.

Q: Where do I find the HTML code for adding client and express login boxes to our website?
A:
This information is supplied to you when you purchase branding.  If you already have purchased branding send an email to [email protected] and request the HTML code. If you have not already purchased branding, please call sales at 1-877-745-9563.

Q: Can Khafre Back Office be branded?
A:
No. Khafre Back Office cannot be branded. If you need a complete white label copy of Khafre Back Office contact [email protected] .
